The Role: Rating Analyst (Korean Speaking) - Financial Institutions Ratings

Responsibilities:
  • Perform credit analysis on financial institutions based on S&P Global Ratings' methodology with a focus on Korea
  • Support senior analysts in preparing management meetings with issuers
  • Support senior analysts to deliver presentations
  • Support the production of entity specific reports and market commentaries in a fast paced environment with publication deadlines
  • Contribute in global and regional analytical projects and working groups
  • Articulate research findings and analytical recommendations in a logical and coherent manner
  • Demonstrate service excellence and professionalism towards external and internal clients

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree, CFA charter holder or CPA is a plus
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in an analytical or research position
  • A good understanding of financial markets, business environments and relevant regulations - in particular, on the banking sectors or securities companies in Korea. Knowledge of insurance industry in Korea is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean
  • Strong numeric skills with solid knowledge in accounting and capability to interpret financial statement
  • Self-driven, energetic and proactive
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and a busy environment
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, global, multi-cultural environment
