This newly created role requires proven hands-on technical experience and knowledge of enterprise data management processes and systems, preferably in a multi asset class environment. The successful candidate will collaborate as part of a team to establish a new Investments Data Management platform, which will serve as the single source of truth for our Investment portfolio data, adopt data governance best practices, and materially increase the automation of our investment data processing. The platform will leverage the latest analytics technology to enable a more agile, data and insights-led organization.

Some of the key accountabilities include: collaborating with subject matter experts within the Investments team to understand, document and implement their data and reporting/analytics requirements; customising the Investments Data Management platform; designing, executing and coordinating user acceptance testing of the platform; ongoing maintenance of the platform; monitoring data feeds & liaising with data suppliers to ensure reliability, high quality, accuracy and timeliness; implementing best practice data governance within Investments.

The successful candidate will possess: experience with interpreting, manipulating and analysing data in relational databases using SQL to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness; knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for datasets (e.g. Excel, SSAS, R); experience writing code (e.g. Python, .NET, PowerShell) to automate data delivery (via sFTP or API) and data extraction to/from cloud platforms; experience in MS Azure and/or AWS information/data management platforms; experience with ETL tools and techniques; experience in the integration of complex third-party systems; experience designing, executing and coordinating user acceptance testing; a high degree of understanding of investment data and processes, including multi-asset class structures.

Tertiary qualifications in a Finance, Investments, Mathematics, IT, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Statistics and CFA are all highly regarded.
