Role and Context

Role definition:

The Senior Analyst, Operational Due Diligence is responsible for conducting operational due diligence across the spectrum of alternative fund of fund/multi-manager products (hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, real assets and property) and certain regulated fund of funds products.

The role focusses on all aspects of operational due diligence including, but not limited to:

• desk top review/assessment of sub-fund documentation;
• review/assessment of sub-fund counterparties; and
• ensuring processes remain competitive and effective

Duties and Responsibilities          

Due Diligence - external counterparty

• Undertake scheduled and ad-hoc operational due diligence reviews of third party fund managers and underlying fund service providers for existing and potential investments across all alternative and certain regulated products, including but not limited to holding meetings with C-suite employees of managers, administrators and auditors.
• Document meetings in a clear and concise manner including update/analysis of quantitative analysis where applicable.
• Identify areas of weakness and present findings together with an appropriate recommendation to relevant investment committee(s).

Due Diligence - desktop

• Undertake comprehensive legal and regulatory due diligence on potential new funds across all alternative and certain regulated products.
• Ongoing review of updated offering material, audited financial statements and other fund related documents.
• Continued legal/regulatory due diligence on existing investments/third party service providers.
• Enhance and codify due diligence procedures in line with market best practices.
• Accurate and timely maintenance of base data within the ODD IT systems.

Experience and Qualifications:

Experience of working in an operational due diligence capacity within the alternatives fund of funds / multi-manager field, with an emphasis on hedge fund, private equity, property multi-manager and regulated products.

Relevant professional qualification - ACA / ACCA preferred, CFA and / or similar considered.
