Responsibilities:

As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for sales activities for Principal Funds Distribution through out your territory.   You will partner closely with the Sr. Director and Internal Wholesaler within territory for collective success.  Accountable for achieving sales targets and broker dealer relationships within all channels - both wirehouses and independent firms covering our ETF's, Managed Accounts and Mutual Funds. 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, recommend and execute sales plans, activity reports and rotation schedules. 
  • May provide input on marketing, product development, shareholder/broker communications and integration of campaigns with broker/dealers and fund wholesaling teams. 

Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of the financial markets and investment products. 

We are looking for three talented sales individuals to cover the Pacific NW, New York/New Jersey, and the New England Regions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • 4+ years related work experience.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 required.
  • FINRA series 63 required within 45 days.  
  • Advanced designations preferred (e.g., CFP®, CFA®, CIMA®, CAIA®). 
  • Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, consultative skills, advisor management expertise, and analytical analysis are required. 
  • Must have strong presentation, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Good training and motivational skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Travel required, including overnight stays.
