Company Introduction

NABARD is an apex development financial institution in India. The Bank has been entrusted with "matters concerning policy, planning and operations in the field of credit for agriculture and other economic activities in rural areas in India". NABARD is active in developing financial inclusion policy and is a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.

NABVENTURES Limited is a 100% subsidiary of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). NABVENTURES is the alternative investments arm of NABARD.

NABVENTURES proposes to set up an Alternative Investment Fund to support earlyto-mid stage companies in agriculture, food, waste management, rural development etc. It is in the process of applying for a SEBI Category II AIF license and proposes to launch its first fund.

The board of NABVENTURES includes Dr.Harsh Kumar Bhanwala, Chairman, NABARD, Shri R. Amalorpavanathan, Deputy Managing Director, NABARD and other Senior Executives of NABARD. Shri Rajesh Ranjan is the CEO of the Company.

NABVENTURES is looking to hire Vice President/Principal.

Position: Vice President/Principal

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Mumbai

Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 31st December 2018

Key Responsibilities:

• Intensive research of the agri, food and rural space
• Deal origination and evaluation
• Tracking of market trends and developments
• Building of detailed financial models for business and investment decision making
• Preparation and review of deal documents such as Investment Memorandum, issuance of Term Sheets, drafting of Shareholder Agreements etc.)

What we are looking for:

• Strong academic credentials (preferably MBA/PGDM) from top tier institutions
• 5-10 years of relevant working experience in venture capital/private equity investments
• Prior experience in food and agri investments would be a plus
• Strong networking skills
• Good investment track record
• High degree of attention to detail
• Comfortable in handling ambiguity
• Strong research capability
• Strong financial analysis skills with deep financial modelling experience of the highest order
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player

Remuneration: Competitive

General

The above appointment shall initially be for a period of five (05) years subject to annual performance review and subject to renewal by mutual consent. The remuneration would be on a Cost to Company basis.
