Associate, Sector Coverage and Acquisition Finance

Specifically the candidate would be expected to support senior bankers in originating financing and risk mandates and driving a sector based thematic dialogue with our corporate and sponsor client base, mainly in the following industry sectors: Consumter/Retail/Healthcare/Industrial, TMT, Infrastructure/Utilities/Transportation, Energy&Resources, Real Estate.

Job Descriptions:

• Preparing pitch books in the creation of sector based thematic dialogue, origination of M&A financing mandates and strategic financing dialogue with the C-Suite of our corporate clients as well as with PE funds
• Build and run financial models, valuation, peer analysis, ratings analysis, etc.
• Supporting the credit decision making to have better understanding and monitoring of risk inherent to deals and clients.
• Support senior team members in execution of financing transactions (credit work, structuring, financial statement analysis) and in periodic portfolio monitoring of financial sponsor deals
• Provide support to engage senior level of the clients to position the bank across the products in conjunction with GC Heads and Product Office (PO) teams
• Develop sector expertise in the individuals chosen sector(s)

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate/Master degree from leading universities.
• Professional qualifications are advantageous e.g. ACA, CFA, MBA.
• 3-6 years' experience in corporate Corporate and Investment Banking sector teams,  M&A / LBO finance, M&A advisory (e.g. at Investment bank, Big4, Boutique M&A Advisory firms).  Preference for someone who has gone through IBD analyst training program or has been Associate for 2 years in IBD or in PE industry
• Action-oriented, energetic, influential, collaborative and entrepreneurial
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Strong sector understanding in one or more of the following sectors is a positive (E&R, TMT, CRH, Industrials & Transport, Infrastructure & Utilities, Real Estate)
• Strong skillset in financial modelling, pitch book creation, credit analysis, financial statement analysis
• Good understanding of financing structures, particularly in the LBO space and capital markets (debt & equity) is a further positive
• Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and articulate what is required and to deliver on projects, with a strong attention to detail
