General Description

The Associate, Client Service will work with internal teams such as: Investment Operations, Portfolio Accounting, Sales, Relationship Management, Consultant Relations, Product Management, Portfolio Management, Performance, Reporting, Analysis, Compliance, Trading, Legal, Custodians, Fund Administrators, Auditors, and clients to coordinate new and existing account information.  This person must display a professional style as well as dedication to maintaining and servicing sophisticated client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the support and administration of Institutional client portfolios.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and opening of accounts for large or institutional relationships, Mutual Funds (MF), Collective Investment Trusts (CIT), Common Trust Funds (CTF), and seed portfolios across multiple Investment Centers.
  • Facilitate the opening of foreign local markets within client accounts and communicate to key stakeholders within the organization.
  • Facilitate subscription/ redemption process for Institutional clients within MFs, CITs, and CTFs with internal parties and parent company, Eaton Vance.
  • Facilitate the termination of client accounts and assist in ensuring final invoice is accurate.
  • Verify all flows in and out of accounts, coordinating with all impacted parties.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate account changes across affected departments and understand impact within their departments.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client needs across client types.
  • Maintain and build upon existing process document to constantly improve risk mitigation.
  • Support internal teams with Ad Hoc projects.
  • Assume other responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements

  • 4-year degree, preferably in related discipline such as economics, finance, or marketing; work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • 2+ years of related industry and/or client service experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office and the ability to learn additional software programs.
  • Professional tact and excellent communication skills (oral, written, and auditory).
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills (ability to prioritize effectively a must).
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Self-starter – ability to work in an autonomous work environment and ensure productivity when work volume ebbs and flows.
