Job Title: Corporate Strategy Analyst
Team: Strategy & Partnerships
Location: Wellington
Reports to: GM Strategy and Partnerships
Job Purpose
To support the cultivation of strategic growth opportunities for Kiwi Wealth – including acquisitions and divestments, partnerships and joint ventures – to maximise our ability to achieve long term strategic objectives.
The Corporate Strategy Analyst also contributes to Kiwi Wealth’s strategy development processes and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic objectives are effectively understood, progressed and ultimately delivered.
Responsibilities
- Growth opportunities
Support the Strategy and Partnerships team to build a pipeline of market opportunities which support the corporate strategy.
Lead the financial modelling of various opportunities. Evaluate opportunities in light of the impact on the current business model – be they maximising the core value proposition, extending into an adjacent market, or creating a new business.
Assist with the management of transactions including valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation and business cases.
- Strategy development
Contribute to the ongoing development and management of corporate strategy in conjunction with the Strategy & Partnerships team.
Keep aware of developments in the market to ensure that current strategies are kept up-to-date.
- Strategy Education
Develop communication and educational tools to promote understanding of the Kiwi Wealth strategy across the organisation.
- Risk

- Health and Safety

Skills & Experience
- Financial modelling
Strong corporate finance and technical capabilities, covering valuation methodologies, transaction funding, benchmarking with competitors, trend analysis etc.
- Research and analysis
Ability to evaluate and process large amounts of discrete information and data and use this to spot trends, opportunities and form cogent arguments.

Ability to communicate complex insights simply and clearly articulate recommendations in a variety of formats to a wide range of audiences.
