My client is a sizeable international asset manager with a sizeable AUM, currently looking to expand their HK/China team. They are looking to add an investment analyst (3-5 years exp) to work closely with the CIO and existing PM's to focus on China TMT (Handset supply chain, E-commerce & related verticals)
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic analysis of investment opportunities in the HK/China market for Tech Hardware and Internet; in particular focusing on the handset supply chain and E-commerce verticals
- Create and update company models, driving fundamental valuation signals based on a common long-term valuation methodology
- Work closely with portfolio managers to translate research insights into investment recommendations; you will work closely and regularly discuss stock ideas with the HK/China team & CIO
- Due diligence: Have a strong network of industry experts to conduct checks with, Host one-on-one meetings with companies management teams and maintain a regular dialogue with companies under coverage
Requirements :
- 3-5 years' experience in Equity Research focused on TMT; in particular Tech hardware or Software with a strong track record of stock picking.
- Deep dive understanding of sectors; they are not looking to add a consensus analyst but rather a true industry expert
- CFA designation or pursuing CFA designation or similar is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and team work abilities is critical
- Fluency in English and Chinese is a must
