Our client is a prestigious firm backed by a highly successful family with substantial financial resources and a mandate to invest into large and upper mid-cap private equity companies, hedge funds and real estate. The family behind the firm have a history of successfully developing global market leaders across a range of industries. The firm is now planning to hire at Director level to continue investing the generated capital. The position will be based in Frankfurt, but with coverage across the global market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assume ownership of a part of the existing portfolio where the role will include quantitative as well as qualitative analysis for monitoring and risk management purposes
  • Lead and assume responsibility for meetings with fund managers
  • Prepare regular reviews and present new investment opportunities to the investment committee
  • Train and develop other team members within the same team or across business lines
  • Represent the firm and its client at fund AGMs, conferences or on boards and associations
  • Domestic and international travel will be required

YOUR PROFILE:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with private equity and real estate strategies in a fund context
  • Demonstrate excellent modelling skills, great commercial judgment and a truly international outlook particularly US / UK. Personality and potential are important for this position
  • You are an entrepreneurial team player with a dynamic, hands-on work attitude and with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English are required; fluency in at least one further European language is highly welcome
  • Strong academic track record, CFA or CAIA are also seen a plus
