Investment Performance and Research Analyst (Entry Level)

The individual will split time between the Performance Analysis team and Research team at Lynx. 

Performance Analyst:

The analyst will be part of a two-person team responsible for all aspects of client performance reporting and analysis and will report to the Senior VP of the performance department.  Duties will include account data gathering and input (electronic and manual), report design and generation, and verification of the accuracy of quarterly client investment performance reports.  The analyst will work closely with the firm’s client service team and also be responsible for maintaining the firm’s trade blotter, coordinating and logging proxy voting and other administrative duties.

Research Analyst:

The analyst will be responsible for daily reconciliations of Lynx’s private fund using Excel and Bloomberg.  Other duties will include organizing manager calls and updating manager meeting notes, maintaining investment committee notes and running portfolio simulations in Morningstar Direct under the guidance of the research staff. 

REQUIREMENTS: The candidate must be very process-oriented, show great attention to detail and be adept at managing and updating data on an ongoing basis.  General knowledge of markets, market indices, benchmarking, asset classes and statistics is preferred.  The candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret performance data for clients and must communicate effectively with other Lynx team members.  The candidate must also have excellent writing skills. 

The candidate must be able to work on several projects simultaneously and be able to produce reports with strict and often short deadlines.

A bachelor’s degree is required for consideration.  An internship or job experience in investments or finance is preferred. Experience with Excel and InvestorForce or another performance management system is highly preferred.  Knowledge of Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct are a plus.
