Mortgage Pricing and Analytics Reporting

Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Group (MSWM) provides a range of wealth management products and services for affluent individuals, businesses and institutions. These services include brokerage and investment advisory, financial and wealth planning, credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, retirement and trust. Morgan Stanley Private Bank is focused on delivering premier mortgage solutions to clients of MSWM. As part of Global Wealth Management Division (GWM), we have a partnership with Morgan Stanley's retail brokerage network that provides a proprietary source of inbound business.

The Banking & Lending Group within GWMG is seeking a highly motivated resource, supporting all Mortgage Pricing and Secondary Markets activities. These responsibilities include product pricing, strategy implementation, portfolio analysis, project management, report generation and product development.

Position Responsibilities :

• Provide mortgage pricing support and expertise to internal sales and origination functions
• Publish daily or monthly reports which include market trends, key performance indices, profitability, competitive analysis, etc.
• Monitor markets, update pricing model and assist in setting mortgage rates
• Interface and develop relationship with sales in support role as subject matter expert
• Compile and escalate deal proposals through senior management review channels
• Monitor competitor's mortgage rates and provide timely analysis and information to optimize portfolio position
• Execute daily pricing operational tasks
• Perform ad hoc analysis on portfolio and mortgage pipeline

Qualifications:


Experience :

• Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in financial services with emphasis on mortgage products and/or fixed income securities
• Ability to efficiently extract and analyze data, create value-added reporting and data intensive analysis for senior management
• Knowledge of financial modeling, mortgage origination and pipeline management
• Sales support experience
• Portfolio and pipeline analysis experience ideally with risk management and performance focus
• BA in finance, economics, accounting, business, statistics or math
• CFA preferred

Skills Required :

• Efficient report generation and automation expertise
• Working knowledge in Excel VBA, Business Objects, and Tableau preferred
• Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and oral/ written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly, and demonstrate sound judgment
• Experience with residential mortgages and markets
• Demonstrates positive attitude and comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
