As a strategist who sits in the Securities Division, you will play an integral role on the trading floor. Throughout the Securities Division, strategists are using quantitative analysis, market observations and technology to solve business problems.

The Equity Strats Team
The Equity Sales Strats team performs quantitative and other analysis, working with tools, models and financial markets data to help facilitate equity-based transactions. The team includes experts in financial markets and products, structuring, technology, data analysis and marketing. We work with Sales, Trading, Technology and other areas of the Securities Division, and with clients.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
You will help grow Goldman Sachs' market share in our listed futures and options business. You have able computer programming skills and are comfortable working with data. You have some knowledge and experience with the futures industry, its products and markets. You are able to help create various forms of content (reports, presentations, written commentary and futures research), and thrive in an environment where you are interfacing with teammates and clients and close to the markets.

You are joining a small team of Futures Strategists, within the GS Strats community and a flagship FCM business (Futures Commission Merchant) alongside Prime Services and Eq Sales and Trading. Your primary responsibilities will be helping oversee the team's existing analytics, building new things and insights that differentiate us from our competitors, and creating materials that you and the business will use to pitch clients. The work will be both products and markets-specific, to the listed futures + options space and the major global equity & FICC macro markets they trade in. GS is an industry leader in the space, with a strong platform in place that you will leverage and grow further.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications

1. Object-oriented programming skills (e.g. Java, C++, Python) to help oversee existing things and build new
2. Some futures industry and product knowledge and experience; may include sell-side, buy side, a financial exchange, data provider or elsewhere
3. Sound basic quantitative skills in regression and time-series analysis, data modelling, statistics and probability
4. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Clear, critical thinking

Preferred Qualifications

1. CFA or relevant post-graduate degree (e.g. MFE or technical science)
2. Comfort and knowledge across asset-classes (Eq/FICC) and listed options
3. Content creation and idea generation experience
4. More advanced quantitative or data science skills
