The Director of Investment Research role is responsible for executing the bottom-up/fundamental research methodology, investment monitoring and idea generation.


  • Manage the research process, which includes stock screening, fundamental research, and financial modeling
  • Monitor existing positions and communicate relevant news/events
  • Develop unique insights and investment conclusions, and regularly communicate findings to Investment Committee
  • Manage and organize the database of research notes
  • New investment idea generation
  • Develop appropriate portfolio asset allocation based on client risk tolerance and long-term investment objectives
  • As a member of the investment committee, perform assigned duties that include fundamental research, idea generation, and monitoring
  • Implement portfolio changes and rebalancing as needed


  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of seven years work experience in the financial services industry
  • Chartered Financial Analyst designation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and face-to-face relationship building skills
  • Passion for investing
  • High degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Intellectually curious and able to work independently while working in a team environment
  • Proficient with Bloomberg and FactSet
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
  • Working knowledge of Client Relationship Manager (CRM) technology systems
  • Past exposure to multiple industry sectors is preferred
