Trust Administration Manager


Job Summary:
Manages core Administrative functions to ensure that GLOBALT meets all financial, risk, and third-party management obligations. Ensures that leaders and constituents are confident that any administrative functions or requests will be flawlessly executed. Manages the GLOBALT portfolio of business improvement and acceleration projects. Acts as the project management center of excellence for the rest of the GLOBALT organization. Drives long term vision to ensure that GLOBALT growth can be supported with the highest level of efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates as senior leader/contributor for both the STC COO leadership team and the GLOBALT leadership team. Closely monitors peer priorities in both teams and adjusts project portfolio priorities and administration activities to support peer goals and objectives. Directly incorporates priorities of the GLOBALT president into all appropriate activities, and ensures communication to both the GLOBALT president and the STC COO to drive awareness and oversight clarity.

Manages the GLOBALT Administration portfolio of responsibilities. Priorities may be executed directly or with a key partner, usually Finance or Risk. Categories include financial administration, disaster recovery and business continuity, corporate level risk reporting, human resources, incentive oversight, third party contract administration, GLOBALT's web presence. Work with GLOBALT president to execute budget, MIS and annual planning processes.

Leads most projects for GLOBALT, and partners with other project leaders to execute. Projects will include process reengineering, technology platform modifications and upgrades, technology integration, new platform implementation and acceptance and others. Individual responsibilities will include project plan construction and ongoing maintenance, vendor management, technology partner relationship management, client (GLOBALT team) interaction, business requirements discovery and documentation, and issue resolution. The entire project lifecycle will be covered, from inception through full implementation and post-deployment validation.
Serves as GLOBALT's center for analysis and forecasting. Builds and maintains models to monitor and forecast revenue. Works closely with Finance to validate and clarify the drivers of growth. Creates MIS reporting that operates with minimal ongoing maintenance. Builds analytic discussions to answer business questions for peers, GLOBALT president and STC COO.

Executes client billing and receivable management. Modifies processes to automate all possible components.
Proactively monitors for operational risks. Supports or leads risk reporting and mitigation.
Supports ongoing management of financial processes, including accounts payable, income statement and general ledger review and oversight.

Becomes an expert in the GLOBALT investment management and delivery process through the full cycle - from account inception to ongoing management and reporting. Since many projects will involve reengineering of operations processes, prioritizes acquiring a complete understanding of all operations processes, partners and platforms.

Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Additional Job Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience: Seven years of investment operations or administration experience with a Registered Investment Advisory firm. Project management and delivery experience with a portfolio of at least three large scale project deliveries.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

End-to-end knowledge of the investment management delivery process including portfolio construction and portfolio management, trading and execution, trade reconciliation and error correction, settlement and custody, and ongoing reconciliation and reporting.

Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and fulfillment of obligations made through firm ADVs.

Familiarity with industry standard technology platforms, processes and approaches. Ability to formulate recommendations relating to investment platform industry trends. Familiarity with vendor relationship formation and management.

Expert level Excel capabilities, including data extraction and transformation, forecasting, reconciliation, and the fundamentals of logic and financial mathematics.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form with all levels throughout organization.

Microsoft Project and Sharepoint skills.
