Client Portfolio Manager
Opportunity to be a Client Portfolio Manager on several successful international & global equity strategies, managed by a boutique, employee owned firm with $ 13 bln aum.
The position is based in New York and reports to the Chief Investment Officer, International & Global Equity Strategies.
This role requires extensive travel, possibly at short notice.
Effectively learn, believe and articulate the defining attributes and nuances of our international and global equity investment strategies to institutional and retail clients, prospects, consultants and platforms in an effective manner.
Work closely with Institutional Marketing and Client Service teams in Chicago and CIO and research team in New York.
Educate and remain abreast of changes, updates and conditions in financial markets, portfolio holdings, portfolio characteristics and portfolio performance/attribution.
Customize, edit and proof RFP/DDQs, quarterly letters and white papers under tight deadlines.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Approximately 5 years experience as a Client Portfolio Manager, Client Relationship Manager or Client facing Portfolio Manager or Research Analyst, preferably at an international/global equity strategy with institutional assets under management.
2. Excellent communication skills - demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and oral to audiences that range from sophisticated to less sophisticated. Also an ability to communicate succinctly and passionately.
3. Composure - ability to remain calm and composed in the face of extreme optimism /pessimism in an ever changing market environment or during stellar or challenging performance phases.
