The Director – Corporate Finance will play a key role in helping Senior Management make decisions and drive the business by providing value add analyses and completing the department’s deliverables in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Own and manage the Corporate Forecast Model (FFO/AFFO, Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  • Advise Senior Management of the impact from potential transactions, developments, JV relationships and structured finance investments on the Company’s financial statements and other key financial measures.
  • Execute the Annual Operating Plan, from building the forecast to creating the Board and Management presentation to coordinating between departments
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly deliverables for the Board of Directors, Senior Management and Earnings Call (i.e. guidance schedules, scripts, supplemental report, Q&A, etc.)
  • Develop a complete understanding of the Company’s business lines and accounting methodologies in order to accurately integrate property segment forecasts into the Corporate Model as well as forecast the Company’s financial statements and key financial measures
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within each business to ensure that changing market dynamics and trends are incorporated into the forecast.
  • Advise Senior Management of the impact of various sources of capital (equity, debt, etc.) to financial statements and key financial metrics
  • Perform monthly variance analyses  of GAAP financial statements and key non-GAAP financial metrics for actuals vs forecast and current period to prior period
  • Forecast and provide recommendations to Senior Management regarding annual and quarterly guidance of key GAAP and non-GAAP financial measures.  Assist with required reconciliations of GAAP to non-GAAP metrics
  • Prepare quarterly and annual flux analyses of earnings for sequential, period over period and guidance comparison analyses for Senior Management in order to help convey the Company’s financial performance to the Street
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, key industry non-GAAP financial metrics and tax law to assimilate these principals and metrics into company-level forecasts
  • Project liquidity levels, sources & uses of funds and credit metrics
  • Complete various ad-hoc projects as needed, including external presentation support and performance reports for Senior Management


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • CFA and/or CPA, or progress towards either designation is preferred
  • MBA or Masters of Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of eight to ten years’ experience through a combination of forecasting, financial modeling, accounting and capital budgeting experience, required
  • Minimum of five years’ experience within the real estate industry
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Strong understanding of key accounting and corporate finance principles
  • Extensive financial modeling experience
  • Experience using accounting information systems
  • Aptitude to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Solid interpersonal and verbal written communication skills
