Senior Investment Officer - Private Equity Selection of Funds/Co-investments
Opportunity for a heavily networked individual in the Private Equity space to go to a firm that value work life balance and will measure you on results rather than time spent in the office!
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for sourcing, conducting full due diligence and monitoring PE managers covering the Pan Asian market
Take a leadership role in the assessment and development of new opportunities in the industry for Private Equity.
Elaborate, present and manage a business plan to expand PE investments in Asia;
Organize and carry out due diligence on and select Asia-Pacific private equity funds.
Analyze market and operational risks associated to managers.
Leverage on the company and the candidate's network to aggregate the Pan Asian market sentiment and express macro-economic scenarios
Actively screen for co-investment opportunities within the portfolio and support them with detailed financial forecasts
Defend recommendations to the investment committee through a thorough documentation.
Support the continuous improvement of the investment and portfolio management process.
Monitor investments within the portfolio and provide the necessary reporting.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
*Proven buy-side experience in Private Equity funds selection as an LP
*Proven network of Asia-Pacific GP's across fund sizes and single countries.
*Self-starter, self-managed, capable of pro-actively guiding all compliance aspects in general and working independently towards achieving precise objectives,
*Proven Leadership qualities in managing a team.
*Academic background, ideally with a Master degree or CFA.
*At least 10 - 15 years of professional experience in private equity, ideally both in funds and co-investments, in the Pan-Asian environment.
*Strong analytical acumen with good familiarity with financial statements and modeling.
*Attention to details, pro-activity and flexibility to work independently within a small multi-location team on different opportunities
*Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills
*Perfect command of English written and spoken
*International experience is a plus.
*Positive mind-set, inspiring personality and easy communicator
*Positive team spirit and open minded.
