Associate, Investment, Fund Management

Private Equity (Ref.: 18-109)



Reporting to the Senior Director, Fund Management - Québec, the incumbent will help maximize the performance of the portfolio of private equity investments in Québec by participating in industry monitoring, investment opportunity analysis, due diligence and portfolio tracking.


Main responsibilities

  • Support the team in executing fund investments:
  • Help prepare preliminary analyses and investment recommendation documents (executive summaries);
  • Support investment directors by conducting rigorous modelling and highlighting the principle decision points for files under review;
  • Participate actively in the due diligence process, including meetings with managers, industry analysis and reference calls.
  • Portfolio tracking:
  • Help produce internal reports (dashboards) in accordance with established timelines and ensure they are updated;
  • Examine fund financial reports in detail.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with internal stakeholders in day-to-day portfolio management;
  • Help establish sectoral strategies;
  • Help develop work processes;
  • Perform any other related tasks requested by his or her immediate superior.



  • Undergraduate degree in finance or a related field
  • CFA or CPA designation, an asset
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years' experience in financial analysis
  • Experience in private equity and/or venture capital, an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration
  • In-depth computer skills: electronic spreadsheets and quantitative models, PowerPoint presentations
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and French.
