GT Research and Strategy - Credit Research

Credit Research advises the Bank's clients and traders, helping them to stay one step ahead of the market. Their impartial intelligence is key to shaping sales and trading strategies for clients and for our business. Joining the Credit Research team, your role will include:

§ Analyzing market and economic data to produce analysis
§ Maintaining financial models and spreadsheets
§ Collecting and compiling data on both industries and companies
§ Contacting companies' management & operations team to assess their fundamental outlook
§ Identifying new investment ideas and creating new strategies
§ Making investment recommendations to both internal & external clients
§ Writing research reports and analysis
§ Contributing to internal and external research publications
§ Presenting research and investment/trade ideas to colleagues and external clients
§ Ensuring compliance with internal policies (in particular trading and conflict of interest) and MAS regulations as relevant to research analysts

Qualifications
1. At least 3 years' working experience preferred in related field;
2. A solid accounting background with strong MS Excel financial modeling and analytical skills;
3. A natural orientation to the credit markets will be highly preferred;
4. Excellent communication skills (including writing skills) as incumbent is expected to articulate his/her sound judgment and the ability to formulate convincing investment theses;
5. Chinese speaker/reader preferred in addition to English fluency for writing and presentations.
6. Be a self-starter, able to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team environment as needed;
7. A CFA or currently undertaking the CFA programme is a plus but not a requirement
