  • Recommending approval of complex and sizeable loans to ensure that they adhere to existing policy guidelines and delegated limits       
  • Ensure the risks inherent in the credit process are properly identified                    
  • Leading the Credit Appraisal Team to provide efficient and quality credit assessment for all credit applications                                          
  • Contribute to formulation of policies on credit, recovery, provision and write-offs policies
  • Make recommendation to the management for each credit application
  • Ensure consistent production of high quality credit evaluation reports.                
  • Check and review the credit evaluation performed by subordinates. Discuss the cases and provide guidance and opinions to them      
  • Monitor the team's operation to ensure compliance with internal policies & external regulation.                                          
  • Understand, keep abreast of and act according to the internal guidelines and relevant banking   regulations, such as AML, KYC, avoidance of conflict of interests, credit policies and procedures, etc., to communicate new expectations to staff                                          
  • Ensures full compliance of statutory limits in accordance with our Bank's policies and regulatory requirements                                      
  • Attend relevant training to ensure the performing of duties are complying with the Bank's guidelines                                         
  • Understand and adhere to the privacy policies and practices of the Bank in handling customer's personal data  




  • Bachelor or above in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accountancy or related disciplines
  • More than 10 years of credit risk management experience in SME banking or retail banking or both
  • Sound understanding of the risk issues across a wide variety of corporations, industries and regions
  • Sound knowledge in the regulatory requirements on credit risk perspectives, with hands-on experience in latest risk management development
  • Proven experience in leading a sizable credit team
  • Strong analytical mind, independent, good problem-solving and multi-tasks handling ability
  • Professional qualification in CFA/FRM/PRM is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with good report-writing skills
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is a plus
