  • Identify and ensure the proper capture of market risk arising from treasury and asset-liability management activities, including participating in new product approval processes
  • Perform the regular monitoring of market risk reports and limits, including investigating and analysing significant movements and escalation of limit excesses
  • Support stress testing exercises that involve market risk considerations
  • Review the local adoption of group-wide market risk policies and standards in Hong Kong
  • Perform the regular review of market risk limits and triggers, as well as ad-hoc request for adjustments to the threshold to support trading or balance sheet strategies
  • Support the preparation of risk updates to risk oversight committees


  • Bachelor's degree (preferably a Master's Degree) holder in finance, business or quantitative discipline
  • Chartered Financial Analyst and/or Financial Risk Manager designation is an advantage
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in market risk management in a sizeable financial institution with sound knowledge of contemporary treasury and derivative products and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Strong technical skills, including a solid understanding of banking products (particularly in treasury and derivatives products)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Familiar with prevailing and evolving regulatory standards on market risk in Hong Kong
