The Investment Risk Manager will be responsible for implementing risk management policies and procedures to ensure the portfolio and business are in compliance with regulatory requirements and aligned with the risk appetite defined by management. The jobholder will provide proper and timely responses to internal requests for risk analysis information, monitor investment risk exposures, market, liquidity, counterparty and credit risk of the portfolio against relevant benchmarks and internal risk threshold, increase the quality and enlarge the scope of risk data and resolution of data issues and provide input to different committee meetings with risk team involvement and risk governance forums. The incumbent will contribute to the development of risk tools and local solutions to measure and analyse the investment risk incurred by managed funds, contribute to any regulatory driven project and proactively share regulatory documentation and knowledge, identifying, reporting and escalating the risks, if any, in appropriate forums. The Investment Risk Manager will support and develop close links with Product, Request for Proposal, Sales and Client Proposition teams, all along the product stages such as design, new launch, review and due diligence and provide oversight of the investment risk of all asset classes such as the implementation of appropriate and consistent monitoring frameworks in line with risk principles and policies.

The successful candidate will be a degree holder in a Finance or related discipline, those with a professional certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager or Professional Risk Manager are preferred, with at least 4 years' experience gained in an Investment Risk role at a leading international Asset Management company. Applicants will need to have solid knowledge and understanding of financial instruments and their valuations mechanisms, a general understanding of Asian countries and main overseas legal and regulatory frameworks. Candidates will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and those with familiarity with Office tools and programming skills are preferred.
