General Description
Bank of Singapore offers alternative investment opportunities to clients. This offering requires due-diligence, regulatory approval, marketing and monitoring of alternative investments such as private equity and private real estate funds as well as co-investment origination, structuring and referrals. This role is to be a member of the Private Equity team, and it entails working closely with relationship managers to meet clients' investment objectives as well as collaborating with other departments of the Bank. The candidate should ideally have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in private banking with focus on alternative investments or in investment banks / law firms / private equity houses dealing with private equity transactions and structuring.

Main Duties
- Strengthening the Bank's alternatives / private markets platform. The new hire will assist the team in the launching of private market funds from:
i. source, review and due diligence on global private equity opportunities; to
ii. manage the product approval process, internally and externally with the relevant regulatory bodies; to
iii. bank-wide marketing and advisory of alternative investments to internal and external clients; to
iv. the continued required follow up with the relationship managers and clients on existing alternative investments products.

- Originate and structure co-investment opportunities for ultra-high net worth clients. This may entail liaising with external fund administrator and legal counsels for the establishment of investment vehicles.

Work Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years' relevant work experience in private banking with focus on alternatives.
- Relevant experience in investment banks / law firms / private equity houses dealing with private equity transactions and structuring could be considered.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Relevant experience in China and/or India will be preferred.
- Strong Mandarin language skill is a plus.

Education Requirements
- Good, relevant under-graduate degree (accountancy/finance, business, law, etc.).
- CFA/CAIA holder &/or Master's degree in finance or business administration from reputable university will be an advantage.
