The Bank of Singapore, a subsidiary of OCBC, is seeking an Interest Rate Strategist for its Singapore office. The individual will be responsible for the Bank's G-10 Interest Rate Strategy. The role involves communicating with key internal and external clients, writing regular research notes, conducting bespoke analysis and building and maintaining analytical models.

Description
  • Overall responsibility for formulating and articulating Bank's strategy for G-10 fixed income markets.
  • Publish regular research on key macroeconomic and political events and other factors that impact the markets.
  • Contribute to the asset allocation view and work with the Bank's economists, strategists and fixed income analysts.
  • Work closely with Trading Advisory on devising and implement strategies in G-10 Rates as well as ad-hoc requests in other markets.
  • Work with bank's relationship managers, investment counselors and other key internal clients to engage customers with economic/market views.


Qualifications
Qualifications
  • At least 15 years of experience in Interest Rate Strategy or Trading Cash and/or Derivative products with a major Buy or Sell-Side institution.
  • Broad-based knowledge of fixed income to include Global Credit.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective oral and written skills; ability to write clearly and concisely in English.
  • Degree from a reputable university
  • CFA/MBA preferred but not required
