Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The Portfolio Advisory Specialist will provide thoughtful insights and analysis that can materially improve model investment portfolio outcomes for Financial Advisors and Home Offices.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Perform customized risk and portfolio analytics for Financial Advisors and Home Offices
  • Create client-ready, portfolio analysts' reports with relevant insights:
  • Provide commentary on asset allocation frameworks (e.g., Efficient Frontier analysis)
  • Critique manager selection and portfolio construction processes
  • Synthesize pertinent findings and research to arrive at portfolio recommendations
  • Deliver and effectively articulate analysts to key external stakeholders (e.g. Financial Advisors, Home Office Research, etc.)
  • Create effective feedback loop to ensure proper client follow up and execution
  • Creates frameworks for analyzing alternative investment and risk scenarios
  • May help develop and market investment products, services and solutions

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 2-4 years relevant experience in asset or investment management
  • Experience in servicing Financial Advisors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex quantitative and investment concepts and ideas to investors

  • Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful way
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people's opinions
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate over the phone with a variety of individuals at all technical levels are required

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Relevant advances degree from top academic institution desirable (e.g. MBA, Finance, Economics, etc.)

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • CFA required

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
