Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The Senior Solutions Analyst is responsible for conducting quantitative and statistical analysis on investments of various assets classes and can convey this research to internal and external clients in a practical, concise manner. An individual in the senior analyst role demonstrates the capacity to improve the team through superior breadth of knowledge and experience, carefully applied through collaborative research, wisdom in mentoring, and a track record of careful, efficient implementation.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
     * Generates new ideas and investment concepts for research that impact the investment process
     * Works with portfolio management team to assess securities within investment objectives and fund restrictions for the retail and institutional portfolios
     * Leverage skills of analyst pool to improve operations, data management and automation process
     * Act as a lead on research projects and show ability to critique peer research
     * Take an ownership role in the daily trading of portfolios and models
     * Provide backup support to Portfolio Manager in situations where PM is not available
     * Participate in discussions to determine direction of the team from a research and product development perspective
     * Design, construct, test and implement tactical and strategic allocation models
     * Perform quantitative and fundamental analysis of current and potential holdings in multiple asset classes
     * Research various topics including stock selection, macro forecasting and multi-asset allocation models
     * Follow, update and incorporate academic research into the investment process

Work Experience / Knowledge:
     * A minimum of seven years of experience in the analysis of multiple asset classes in an asset allocation framework. Educational equivalent can be partially substituted for experience
     * Experience working on a multi-asset investment team at a reputable retail/institutional investment firm is required

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
     * Ability to comprehend and apply statistical and quantitative methodologies
     * Ability to combine macroeconomics, financial principles, investment fundamentals, and quantitative analytics to build investment strategies
     * Ability to consistently provide sound investment recommendations and thought leadership to peers
     * Strong programming skills in R or Matlab
     * Experience in building and maintaining a research database (preferably SQL)
     * Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and range of investment backgrounds
     * Effective written and verbal communication skills
     * Superior organization skills and proven ability to attend to details
     * Ability to prioritize work and allocate time effectively to maximize impact to investment process
     * Ability to concentrate on detailed information for up to 50 - 75% of the work time

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
     * Advanced degrees in quantitative disciplines such as finance, financial engineering, or econometrics is required. PhD is preferred but not required

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
     * CFA designation is required

Working Conditions:
     * Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust and temperatures
     * Required to push, pull, lift or otherwise move weights up to 10 pounds
     * Required to sit for up to 90% of the work day
     * Typically works hours consistent with the hours of various financial markets and may be required to work additional hours as needed to attend evening or other functions
