Position Purpose:

This individual will work with the Global Trading Team with the primary responsibility for trading investment grade corporate securities and derivatives. This individual will also be responsible for communicating themes, trends, and activity relating to the investment grade market to portfolio managers, analysts, and other traders on a regular basis.  The incumbent must maintain a strong working knowledge of the global credit markets and keep abreast of evolving trends within industries and individual credits. This trader also has responsibility to provide analysis and commentary on relative value within capital structures. Being able to build and maintain relationships both externally and internally is essential.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Maximize best execution practices both voice and multiple trading platforms/venues
  • Execute investment grade buy and sell transactions
  • Develop maintain, and manage relationships with broad set of broker/dealers
  • Gather and analyze market color and communicate relevant information to portfolio managers, analysts, and other traders
  • Identify relative value opportunities based on sector, spread, yield, duration, and security structure



  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years Fixed Income experience
  • Strong communication skills to communicate market color and investment strategies to  portfolio managers, analysts and traders
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team of portfolio managers, analysts and traders
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with broker/dealers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with precision under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task with precision
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • MBA, MA or CFA (or in progress)
  • Experience in Credit Markets
