The Solutions Analyst will support three Solutions Portfolio Managers covering the Americas to market Solutions Capabilities with Senior Solutions Portfolio Managers. This includes building the marketing decks for prospects as well as constructing, monitoring and tilting portfolios as the client portfolio manager. Accountability for reviews and cross selling are an integral part of the job. The types of portfolios include multi asset, liquid Fund of Fund portfolios and broader alternative portfolios, systematic portfolios and any mix of funds to deliver client outcomes.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support as required in the launch and distribution of potential retail products and be point person on research house annual reviews
  • Liaison with internal teams (client service, portfolio construction, legal, financial operations, product) to ensure that internal and external deadlines are met to deliver client outcomes.
  • Review reports and presentations in advance of client meetings and in sending reports to clients.
  • Attendance and participation at meetings with Institutional and Retail clients and prospects alongside the Solutions Portfolio Manager.
  • Develop relationships and open lines of communication with members of the clients/prospects internal teams.
  • Assist with and ultimately quarterback the completion of RFPs for prospective clients in the Americas.
  • Assist with onboarding of new client portfolios (particularly around legal, operational, reporting and client service )
  • Assist with general ongoing client support where appropriate eg., ad hoc queries, assisting with preparation of client reviews, queries in respect of individual manager performance, point person for research house annual reviews, etc
  • Manage operational aspects for client portfolios - , clients custodian, trustee, administrator ensuring that trades, cash payments are completed within agreed and required timeframes
  • Prepare Prop Paks for clients and prospects using proprietary tools; customize PropPaks to specific client needs.
  • Assist with investment research projects for clients (both quantitative and qualitative)
  • Assist with preparation of board reporting requirements
  • Meet with Investment managers (predominantly - hedge fund managers) to understand their funds and strategies.
  • Keep abreast of manager performance and strategies and be able to assist the Solutions Portfolio Managers in conveying this information
  • Review industry material and prepare commentary for clients specific to their needs
  • Attend industry events, network with industry professionals, etc


Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Experience - 3-8 years in funds management/investment consulting
  • Experience in alternative investments preferential but not essential
  • Strong communication skills are essential - need to build and develop relationships with both internal stake holders and external clients and prospects
  • Strong client focus and commitment to delivering results
  • Ability to deliver projects and produce work to pre-defined timescales
  • High level of interest in multi-asset, systematic, and alternative investments and keen to increase knowledge
  • Ambitious, room for development in a small team and growing market segment
  • Preferred: partial completion of CFA or CAIA
  • Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or related discipline
