General Description

The role will have responsibility for developing and maintaining the Bank's masterlist of funds with the objective of identifying best-in-class mutual and hedge funds.

Main Duties
  • Perform due diligence review of funds for inclusion in the recommended fund list according to the Banks' monitoring process
  • Perform on-going review of funds on the recommended list and propose changes to the list of funds when there are better alternatives
  • Generate new fund ideas and ensure product relevance and suitability with Bank's investment views/themes via collaboration with CIO office
  • Actively engage the front office in introducing, educating and explaining funds on the platform
  • Meet with external fund managers to understand the investment process for identification of suitable funds, assessing performance and articulating the value proposition
  • Present the investment case to the Investment Committee for funds to be on-boarded
  • Prepare investment product marketing literature and materials
  • Engage with various business units (legal, compliance, credit and other relevant departments) to launch new products and maintain related regulatory processes
  • Participate in other ad-hoc projects relevant to the activities of the Managed Investment Advisory team

Work Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years work experience, preferably in the investment management industry
  • Strong interest in investment markets and knowledge of various asset classes
  • Numerate and attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar and Lipper databases is an advantage
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Holder of or candidacy for relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CAIA) advantageous
