Our client is a fast-growing FinTech start-up in the investment management industry. Led by a team of experts, they offer an online platform for institutional investors and family offices to manage the flow of fund data so they can better understand their current and prospective investments. They are used by some of the world's largest investor companies, and have experienced strong growth over the past four years with over 3600 funds now piping their data through the platform (data on over $7trn of assets) - with 800 on-boarded in the last quarter!

Our client are looking to fill two positions; one is a Business Development Manager role and one is a graduate Sales Analyst role.

Business Development Manager
Main Responsibilities:

  • Sell the platform to prospective clients
  • This involves prospecting clients and closing deals
  • Ensure that there is a dynamic pipeline of deals.
  • Help design a business development strategy to increase sales.
  • Includes business trips where this makes business sense.
  • Perfect an outbound sales process to be implemented to increase sales.
  • Build and manage a Sales Sub-Team to scale up the outbound sales.
  • Help design a process to increase inbound sales leads through the website and partnerships.

Skills and qualifications:

  • University Degree at 2-1 or equivalent (essential).
  • CFA, CAIA or other investment management qualification (desirable)
  • Understanding of fund allocation and the concerns of institutional investors (essential)
  • Past sales experience (essential)
  • Management skills (desirable or need to be learned on the job)
  • Experience hiring out a team (desirable or need to be learned on the job)
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills (essential)
  • Other languages are welcome too, but not necessary
  • Strong computer skills - including Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills (essential)
  • Knowledge of Apple OS & Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)

 

Graduate Sales Analyst
Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that there is a dynamic pipeline of deals.
  • Identify key characteristics of profitable potential clients and scouring the industry to identify potential clients.
  • Contacting prospective clients (this involves cold-calling).
  • Prospecting customers to understand their willingness, financial capacity and authority to purchase & their accessibility.
  • Qualifying prospects and determining probable requirements and relating company services to each prospect's requirements.
  • Arranging and leading video calls and meetings to demonstrate the platform.
  • Speaking regularly and building a rapport with clients to ensure that there is a dynamic pipeline of deals.
  • Relaying client feedback to improve our platform.
  • On-going learning both through team meetings and independent research to increase knowledge of fund selection and the industry.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University Degree at 2-1 or equivalent (essential).
  • Past sales experience (desirable).
  • No need to have previous finance experience, although this is a plus (desirable).
  • All the necessary skills can be learned on the job and the applicant is expected to be a quick learner.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills (essential).
  • Other languages are welcome too, but not necessary.
  • Strong computer skills - including Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills (essential).
