Fixed Income Taxable Credit Analyst
Experienced corporate credit analyst to assist team in managing $7 billion in taxable assets. Responsibilities include performing fundamental credit analysis on corporations, possibly including high yield; performing surveillance on existing fixed income holdings; and providing timely investment recommendations to portfolio managers. The scope of work eventually requires the analyst to trade corporate bonds for varying fixed income strategies; to be able to analyze security structure, financial covenants and legal provisions; and to distribute summaries of financial analysis performed. The analyst will also be responsible for helping the team evaluate, develop and implement tools and practices used to enhance the research and portfolio management process and for special projects as they arise as well as provide back-up trading for other team members.
Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications: Three or more years of financial analysis experience; MBA or CFA or progress towards; strong math and analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently in a high-energy environment; proficiency with Microsoft applications and Bloomberg. Familiarity with closed-end bond funds is desired.
