Job Purpose (Job Summary):
Invesco Private Markets (IPM) is a growing suite of more than $100bn in real asset, private equity, and private credit capabilities. Working with Invesco Sales and the private markets investment teams, the IPM Client Portfolio Management - Associate (‘CPM Associate') will support the Client Portfolio Managers (‘CPMs') in service of clients through the provision of private markets capabilities. The CPM Associate will work for the Invesco Private Markets CPM team to successfully raise and retain capital. The role will support the team in the development of a fundraising strategy for the global distribution of specific private markets funds and the CPM Associate will ensure structured execution of the strategy. Moreover, the individual will help provide exceptional client service to existing investors and become a deeply knowledgeable proxy for our portfolio managers and be able to author communications on the investment strategy for client communications and marketing material.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Invesco Private Markets team to develop an overall launch plan for various private markets products entering the global market

  • Collaborate with the CPM team and sales force to identify which clients are most suited to a particular product/asset class and document a ‘client approach' plan

  • ...for all identified targets which outlines a series of proactive action items that will facilitate the closing of the clients into the relevant product or strategy

  • Maintain a detailed project plan of CPM activities related to active fundraises and ensure day-to-day tactical execution of activities to support client closings into funds or strategies

  • Oversee management of fundraising pipeline and ‘client approach plans' in our client relationship management tool and produce relevant reports on pipeline activity for senior leadership

  • Coordinate investor and prospective investor due diligence

  • Liaison with the CPM team and sales force in a proactive manner to produce outstanding bespoke client presentation materials for existing investors

  • Work with reporting, finance, and other functions to assure effective delivery of exceptional service to clients

  • Create cross-platform thought leadership and marketing collateral for the full IPM platform to facilitate sales training and sales pipeline management and represent a compelling, coherent, and solutions-oriented vision of our private markets platform

  • Directly lead creation of materials related to offerings of IPC and WLR

  • Assist in the research and development of new strategies

  • Engage with Invesco Solutions and Invesco Thought Leadership to provide expertise and information relevant to private markets dynamics, products, and trends

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, and/or product management and fundraising experience in private closed-end funds in private equity, private credit or real assets

  • Travel - travel can fluctuate greatly, alternating between periods of heavier travel and ones of little travel. Overall the position could require travel up to 25% of the time

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent educational qualification) in finance, economics, math or other business-related field of study preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Preference for a CFA, MBA or other similar technical designation or degree

  • Series 7 required upon joining

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures

  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary

  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment

  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call availability by cell phone as well as business travel within the US or globally
