We seek an exceptional candidate for this key position in our investment management group that manages over $2B on a discretionary basis. The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with our portfolio managers to manage the strategies that help our clients achieve their financial goals. Our motivated investment management group combines a sophisticated research and analytical framework with an institutional mindset to build portfolios and deliver superior results. The investment analyst position is a stepping stone to becoming a portfolio manager.

Primary Position Responsibilities

  • Integral part of the investment team, with a lead role in researching, selecting and managing investment sub-advisors
  • Create valuation packages for asset classes, supporting the production of correlation analysis and iterative model development
  • Generate, maintain and/or update analytics and data for review with Portfolio Managers (e.g. regression packages, decision tree models, credit packages, manager performance, fund weights, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain framework for the effective and timely execution of strategy allocations for assets under advisement, including asset class cascades, approved sub-advisors and training of other staff
  • Conduct macro-economic and asset class research
  • Implement measures to diversify portfolios
  • Build and deploy the analytical framework that supports portfolio decision-making
  • Guide application of investment strategies to client portfolios as appropriate
  • Communicate analytical results and portfolio allocations to advisors and clients
  • Work with portfolio management system

Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance, investments, or a related field
  • Direct experience working in an analytical investment position preferred, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in investments, finance, accounting or related field
  • Proven ability to research and synthesize complex or diverse information
  • Understanding of and strong interest in financial markets and macro-economic fundamentals
  • Demonstrable expertise in analytical modeling, consistent with experience, on Microsoft Excel or more advanced software
  • Sound and accurate judgment
  • History of high performance and meeting or exceeding deadlines
  • Excellent quantitative, organizational, and written/oral communication skills
  • Enjoy collaborating with others to meet challenges
  • Able to quickly adapt to new systems and master any industry-specific software used by the firm


  • CFA Charter, or working toward Charter, is strongly preferred
  • MBA
  • Experience in programming in R, Python or a language of equivalent complexity would be advantageous
