Additionally, the role will provide opportunities to contribute to several strategic development projects geared towards providing a 1st class management information service.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of our analytical capability to support the EMEA Wholesale and Institutional team's strategy working closely with various stakeholders across the business to drive efficiencies, monitor the performance of the teams and enhance our understanding of client/product trends and profitability. The role holder will have the opportunity to work closely (and lead) a range of projects to enhance current capabilities to include predictive analytics. This will involve the following:   Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the EMEA Wholesale and Institutional sales teams and client services teams to develop a full and complete suite of reports;
  • Provide analytical insight that supports strategic agenda (with visibility across Business Unit, sector and asset class).
  • Work with the business to look for opportunities of sales efficiency, asset growth and revenue optimisation.
  • Perform data modelling and output reporting / presentations using this infrastructure.
  • Manage the end to end analytical and reporting process, including: scoping requirements, testing, obtaining signoff from stakeholders, documentation and governance and transitioning from strategic to tactical solutions (i.e. into production).
  • Implement and maintain responsibility for policies and procedures regarding use of the Commercial.
  • Analytics (D3) platform and the way in which information is captured and maintained.
  • Delivery of strategy tactics client and market development analysis
  • Build and enhance external relationships with data vendors and market research providers.
  • Multiple project management with overlapping life cycle stages.
  • Reporting of relevant management information.
MI Reporting:
  • Regular reporting and analysis for performance monitoring purposes
  • Communicate to all stakeholders any updates/ amendments to reporting templates or use of systems
  • Review and analyse information received and identify trends and opportunities, assisting in the preparation of appropriate reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the development of appropriate MI reports on activity relevant to the business (e.g. activity with key intermediaries, key products, cross selling opportunities, etc)
  • Respond quickly to business requests for information, data and insight
Regulatory Reporting:
  • Communicate opportunities and disseminate relevant information to all relevant business units when required.
  • Liaise with the Product Development team and communicate all fund development or monitoring reporting relevant to the business.
Industry Reporting:
  • Develop and enhance working relationship with IMA, Lipper, Matrix Solutions (and Financial Clarity) and Market Metrics.
  • Provide online data submissions within the required templates of each data vendor/ market research provider.
  • Utilise industry databases efficiently.
Data management and analysis:
  • Prepare a monthly data report to review client, prospect and intermediary data, reviewing levels of client conversion, retention and attrition.
  • Challenge existing analytical approaches to improve results through changes to existing methods and or new data sources.
  • Review (or where appropriate perform) corroborative checks / reconciliations to ensure the integrity of analytics / BAU reporting.
  • Ad hoc project work with various stakeholders across the business.


Qualifications
Essential Experience/Skills
  • Data analysis experience including project management and execution methodologies.
  • A good understanding of data and data modelling to assist with systems integration planning.
  • Excellent requirements analysis and consultative skills, with a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Competent assertiveness to achieve business process change, effectively addressing and allaying concerns.
  • Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and relationship management skills at senior levels.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment with speed and discipline.
  • Confident working with senior management across multiple business areas.
  • Ability to review proposed solutions and make recommendations of user friendly design to support the development teams.
  • Qualified project manager (highly desirable); alternatively an advanced CRM analysis tool user or business management background.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and financial understanding.
  • Strong ability to manage and interpret large quantities of data.
  • Strong business performance management skills.
  • Familiarity with Business Objects or Sales Force is a bonus.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel and Power Point.
  • Desire to study for the IMC, CFA or Prince 2 qualification.
