What will you do?

Proposal management
  • Review and analyse client proposals to determine key project requirements.
  • Generate initial draft using content database and other sources, leveraging Analyst support where appropriate.
  • Solicit and coordinate timely input from relevant subject matter experts.
  • Interface with Global Client Coverage to ensure responses meet client/prospect/consultant requirements, reflect RBC I&TS' strategic direction and provide consistency with respect to competitive positioning, tone of voice and visual brand standards.
  • Ensure responsiveness to client/ prospect/consultant's stated requirements.
  • Incorporate all information into a presentable, professional, well written and highly competitive proposal which addresses client needs while highlighting RBC I&TS' organisational strengths.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and Business Initiatives manager to update central database as new responses are curated and enhanced.

Refreshing stock content for proposals, RFPs and presentations
  • Manage and oversee Analysts' quarterly update of standard content (including due diligence documentation) to ensure accuracy, alignment with RBC I&TS' strategic direction and consistency with respect to competitive positioning, tone of voice and visual brand standards.
  • Ensure all new responses are of the highest quality and are updated to the central database following curation and approval.
  • Ensure the global Proposal Management team is aware, and has access to, frequently used supporting materials e.g. product fact sheets, stock appendices.
  • Market, competitor and industry analysis
  • Monitor and research general industry, regulatory, macroeconomic and fintech trends in order to clearly position RBC I&TS as the intelligent asset servicing provider of choice.
  • Track, analyse and assess the effectiveness of the proposal and business development activities being undertaken by RBC I&TS' competitors to support continual enhancement of our outputs.

Mentoring and coaching
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to the Analysts within the Proposal Management team, instilling a high performance culture focused on delivering output of exceptional quality.
  • Actively support an environment and culture within the Proposal Management team which is aligned with the I&TS Marketing team and RBC's valuess.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • BA or BSc in business or finance.
  • Sound knowledge of the financial services and securities industry.
  • Extensive experience in curating and delivering compelling and articulate written proposal submissions.
  • Demonstrated at conducting appropriate market and industry research and synthesising findings to support and enhance written arguments.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Nice-to-have
  • MBA, CFA or post-graduate in business or finance preferred.
  • Proven curiosity regarding fintech and evolving investment industry trends.
  • Experience using Qvidian database beneficial.
  • Publishing experience considered an asset.
  • Fluent French or Italian
