We Offer
  • The possibility to join a new investment unit targeted at UHNW clients within Sales and Trading Services. Special Investments Group (SIG) co-invests with Private Banking clients in equity, credit and hybrid instruments of private and public issuers predominantly domiciled in Europe and North America. The team employs deep-dive fundamental analysis to develop a thorough understanding of underlying businesses and markets. The team sources, scrutinizes and structures special investment opportunities which are typically available to a select group of investors. Large and non-standard in nature, these deals carry idiosyncratic risk premia which the team seeks to harvest in an informed and analytical manner. SIG also exploits single stock market dislocations by investing in misunderstood stocks exposed to regime-changes. All investments are structured to obtain an optimal risk/reward by using derivative instruments and sophisticated, yet transparent, investment structures.
  • A position where you will support the SIG team across the whole suite of its investment activities. The analyst will be responsible for sourcing single stock investment ideas, conducting fundamental company and industry analyses, performing due diligence on special investment opportunities, authoring investment briefs and presentations and engaging with corporate management teams and industry experts.
  • A culture which is characterized by team effort, best-in-class standards and knowledge sharing. It is a high-paced and intellectually stimulating working environment. We worship humor and defy big egos. The candidate should be willing to embrace uncertainty and turbulence associated with a start-up investment business during the formative stages of SIG.

You Offer
  • Bachelor's degree in either scientific or financial field, Masters or MBA is a plus
  • Top academic record combined with evidence of extracurricular activities
  • Up to five years of experience in a relevant financial field (corporate finance, private equity, buy-side/sell-side research) with at least a one-year exposure to risk-taking/investment activities
  • Very solid understanding of accounting, modelling and credit or equity valuation
  • Good working knowledge of more than one industry and geography
  • Prior experience in conducting primary research
  • Market savviness and ability to anticipate and quantify company-specific issues that can impact stock prices
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Self-starter personality and ability to prioritize and respond quickly to evolving workflow
  • A passion for investing and, preferably, prior exposure to investing across the capital structure
  • CFA qualification strongly preferred
