POSITION
The Position
The Manager, Client Reporting Services (CRS) Asia ex Japan will be responsible for overseeing the following functions across multiple offices including Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing in the Asia excluding Japan region:
  • Investment Reporting - general product reporting for global clients and customized reporting for local clients
  • Product materials both for marketing presentation and client portfolio review meeting
  • Questionnaires - responses to RFPs, RFIs and due diligence related questionnaires
  • Production of materials and publications
  • Translation


In joint partnership with the global management teams located in London, Boston, Tokyo and Sydney, the individual will ensure a seamless 'follow the sun' coverage model, with consistent, high quality delivery to the Global Relationship Group (GRG), Product Management, Investment Professionals and other internal stakeholders. The individual will be responsible for instituting the necessary quality control metrics to ensure all output created by the functional teams in Asia ex Japan is accurate, compliant and timely. In addition, the individual will partner with the global CRS Leadership Team on a variety of global reporting related initiatives, and partner with the Client Services Group (CSG) and GRG Management Team to support the region's reporting and marketing related efforts.  This role is based in Hong Kong, with periodic travel required.

Responsibilities
Business Leadership
  • Joint accountability with the CRS leadership team for establishing global workflows, processes, procedures and quality control to ensure delivery of accurate, compliant and timely materials
  • Provide oversight to ensure that best practices, consistency, and compliance with GIPS and other regulatory standards are implemented across marketing and client materials
  • Ensure the regional team collaborates globally to optimally allocate work
  • Partner with internal stakeholders/teams to optimize product, design and deliverables coverage
  • Partner with global CRS management team to ensure the region's requirements and practices are supported by global workflow, processes and technology
  • Partner with global CRS management team to ensure that risks are appropriately identified, addressed, and mitigated
  • Be an active and impactful participant of the Global CRS Leadership Team
  • Consider and plan for long-range technology and operational needs, leadership / participation in key strategic initiatives


Team Management & Operations
  • Direct reporting responsibilities for the Investment Reporting, Questionnaires, PCS and Translation teams
  • Long-term planning and development of on-the-ground personnel
    • Recruit talent
    • Train new employees and provide ongoing training, goal-setting and performance feedback to existing staff and provide providing career coaching and feedback
    • Produce and deliver performance reviews and compensation messages
    • Allocation of work across the teams
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is likely to possess the following qualifications:
  • Substantial (10+ years) experience in business operations, project management within the institutional asset management industry
  • Excellent organizational, project planning and execution skills including the ability to prioritize and multi-task under time constraints
  • Proven people management experience, ideally within matrix or globalised functions
  • Demonstrated track record of innovation, change management, creativity, efficiency, and problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a changing and collaborative global environment
  • Strong investment product knowledge across all asset classes
  • Positive and solutions oriented mind-set
  • Attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills in a variety of formal presentation settings
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred
