Role & responsibilities:

  • Write and copy-edit fund commentaries as part of the regular reporting cycle across the Group's product range. Review for house style and to ensure they are appropriate for the target audience
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc commentaries on investment performance and outlook as well as market developments
  • Write up content from fund managers' weekly investment meetings for distribution to clients
  • Initiate, research and write thought-leadership pieces, placed articles and advertorials to promote the Group's strategies, investment thinking and themes, liaising closely with fund managers, product specialists and the Communication and Marketing teams
  • Generate content to support company events and conferences
  • Initiate, research and write stories for the intranet on corporate and investment topics
  • Provide copy-editing and proofreading of content for various corporate and marketing publications

Skills & Experience:

  • Solid relevant experience as an editor and/or investment writer in the financial services industry
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of investment strategies and financial markets
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to adhere to a prescribed house style
  • Computer literate: comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, willingness to learn Adobe In-Design and in-house applications, format documents and generate charts / graphics as required
  • Professional qualifications (such as IMC, CAIA, CFA) are desirable
  • Knowledge of German or French would be advantageous
  • Ability to multi-task, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
