The Wealth Credit Management Insurance Premium Financing Underwriter is a newly created role to support the Insurance Premium Financing in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities:

Underwriting
  • Provide support to Transactor which includes credit underwriting, end-to-end transaction processing and post-transaction portfolio management for Insurance Premium Financing facilities.
  • Provide support to Transactor which includes credit underwriting, end-to-end transaction processing and post-transaction portfolio management for credit facilities facilities.
  • Compilation of information and performing of credit analysis
  • Ensure all credit analysis are in compliance with local regulations, the Product Programs, Citi Credit Policy and other related CPB Policies and Standards o Prepare credit memo and facilitate credit approval
  • Liaise with the insurance team, banker and Legal counsel for deal details, client financial statement , loan documentation and deal closing
  • Work closely with Credit Data Management team to complete systemic set up of the credit facilities
  • Perform the credit review at initiation following the policies as laid down under the Citi Credit policy, Standards and Procedures; as well as the Product Program.
  • Liaise with the cerdit approvers across business and Risk for approval of the credit proposal.
  • Perform annual review of the classifiably managed facilities.
  • Deal with any ad-hoc requests from compliance or senior management as required (including portfolio reviews)
  • Interact with auditors (internal and external) and regulators for underwriting related matters
  • Participating in Strategic / Ad hoc projects, system enhancements, Compliance review, Internal Audit, business control processes
Qualifications:
  • 4 to 5 years relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, financial structuring and execution skills
  • An in depth knowledge and understanding of Financial Analysis including Financial and cash flow modelling
  • Good administrative and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good communication (written and verbal)
  • Team Player
  • Knowledge or ability to quickly understand the core Private Banking lending systems. Ability or working knowledge of understanding the supporting systems including the loan booking, reporting systems and document management systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Citibank's Credit Policies, Product Programs and Citi Policies would be useful

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
