Job Summary:
HKEX is seeking a well-seasoned, self-directed Marketing AVP to work closely with business team to incubate quality IPO pipelines and strengthen HKEX's position as the preferred listing venue for global issuers. The role covers strategic planning, identifying and analysing client demand, developing the annual marketing plan, building pipeline generation campaigns, generating and managing the funnel, planning and running events, liaising with internal and external senior stakeholders, and managing the budget to maximise return on Marketing Investment.

Job Duties:

Global Issuer Services is responsible for all marketing activities in the Mainland and internationally for Hong Kong listings, as well as post-IPO issuer services. The objective of this role is to work with business team to promote Hong Kong as the Go-To listing venue and drive issuer marketing initiatives.

The candidate will liaise with business team (China team and international team) to identify and optimize programs and campaigns focusing on IPO pipeline incubations and education to potential IPO issuers, their stakeholders and the retail and institutional investors of the listed issuers. The candidate is responsible for overall program execution which includes implementing the business plan for the campaign, event site assessment to establish location and specifications, engaging key internal stakeholders during the planning and creative development process, facilitating planning sessions, defining roles/responsibilities and associated timelines, budget oversight, all associated logistical details, and post-campaign measurements and reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive annual marketing strategy, build marketing plans and budgets for the smooth operation of marketing campaigns for business team
  • Manage and execute various signature events, such as Biotech Summit, Future Tech Summit and Corporate Access Series with business team to align with their strategies
  • Liaise with business team to agree marketing priorities and programs in different areas and execute on the marketing plan with a focus on lead generation
  • Engage and execute international marketing events and promotion campaigns
  • Manage budget for campaigns and provide quarterly budget plans and forecasts to the Team Head
  • Evaluate marketing efficiencies by tracking ROI against campaigns and event. Analyse and report on performance metrics of campaigns. Track marketing best practices, monitor industry and association trends, and make recommendations
  • Prepare social media/digital marketing campaigns and strategize them such that they align with the business objectives
  • Prepare talking points, speeches, panel discussion points for internal and external speaking sessions
  • Engage with different marketing teams in Hong Kong and Mainland including HKTDC/InvestHK/Cyberport/OASES, various Mainland governments, associations and stakeholders to promote HK's IPO market
  • Coordinate with different internal teams such as corporate communications, legal and compliance to ensure adherence to HKEX standards
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by team head in order to meet business requirement
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns using tactics that include digital marketing, live events and webinars in Mainland China and HK, overseas success records would be a plus
  • Demonstrated experience working with businesteams in incubating IPO pipelines and investor communities
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to influence, work cross functionally, build relationships with key stakeholders and thrive highly collaborative fast paced environment
  • Experience of market research analytics, strategic planning, campaign development and expertise in managing and prioritising multiple projects and has great attention to detail
  • At least 8-10 years' of hands-on experience developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns, preferably in well-established financial organizations
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Strong knowledge of the Mainland and global equity capital markets
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, business or Communications or related discipline preferred
  • Outstanding communications skills - written and verbal in English and Mandarin, proficiency in Cantonese would be a plus
  • Extensive network in primary and secondary market investors community would be a plus
