As a Barclays Strategic Derivatives Trader, you'll work with the senior traders on the day-to-day management of a portfolio involving risks spanning equities, options, and financing considerations. For this role, you'll be involved in pricing new transactions and portfolio hedging working closely with the other trading teams and structurers within the Bank. Strategic Derivatives and financing division responsible for the strategic transactions portfolio within the Equities business situated within Markets but working very closely with Banking.

What will you be doing?
• Having full involvement as a trader within the growing Strategic Derivatives Trading team
• Structuring solutions for the Bank's corporate and institutional clients on their strategic equity hedging and cashflow needs
• Being integral in the full front to back process of transactions (idea generation through to execution and lifecycle) interfacing with origination and infrastructure
• Tracking a well-defined training schedule on a steep learning curve with a view to becoming a senior trader within the team
• Getting exposed and involved to structuring, origination and all related infrastructure teams across the strategic derivatives business globally
• Contributing to the portfolio, adding new transactions, and enhancing the existing platform
• Taking responsibility for accurate information with Business areas including risk management, finance, and other related teams globally

What we're looking for:
• A high performing individual possessing commercial drive along with a solid quantitative and qualitative toolkit
• Commercially focused, resilient, and ambitious
• A professional who is very comfortable in a numerical/computer system environment
• Passion of Global Markets with an intuition around complexity, risk, and value

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Independent thinker with the ability to be a good team player
• Complimentary and/or diverse skillsets and experiences to the existing team would be beneficial
• Previous experience in and understanding of Banking and Derivatives added advantage
• Ability to operate under pressure and work to tight deadlines
