Job Summary:
HKEX is the world's most actively traded Structured Product market. To maintain our world's position, the Structured Product Development team at HKEX is responsible for developing, incubating and overseeing the delivery of strategic initiatives to further advance Hong Kong's SP market.

The Product Specialist will work as a member of the Structured Product Development team. The individual will collaborate with internal colleagues, issuers, regulators and the trading community to develop, introduce and promote new products to local and international investors.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities :
  • Research and conduct analysis on new ideas for products and partners in the SP space
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to promote the Hong Kong SP market and new products
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as listing, operations, risk management, legal and compliance to manage the project initiation and implementation, including workflow, reports, presentations and papers, etc.
  • Assist in the development of product strategy and positioning, market education, thought leadership and website content
  • Educate and train intermediary and retail channels to facilitate SP knowledge and awareness
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with industry participants
  • Build and maintain an expert level of knowledge of SP globally, providing regular feedback on competitive intelligence and product development opportunities
  • Prepare internal and external presentations, legal and regulatory reports and other materials as needed
Requirements:
  • University degree, preferably in Finance / Economics / Business Administration or related disciplines
  • At least 6 years' experience in financial services
  • Self-starter with strong initiative to produce and deliver in an active, small team environment
  • Strong quantitative, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, Word and PowerPoint
  • Programming skill in modern languages highly beneficial
  • Experience in data analytics, quantitative analysis, and/or data manipulation
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to publically represent HKEX when engaging industry associations and conferences
  • Fluency in Cantonese, English and Putonghua a plus
