Senior Business Officer within CCG & GCM COO Office, reporting to the Head of CCG & GCM Business Management and functionally to the Head of CCG & GCM Conduct & Controls.

With a presence in 12 territories across APAC, Global Banking APAC has presence in 12 markets across the APAC region and delivers global solutions to our clients, leveraging our global network and our product & sector expertise. The Global Banking APAC organzsation comprises of the three pillars:

Corporate Clients Group (CCG) which focuses on the coverage of all our Corporate clients in APAC. It encompasses all existing coverage teams and includes Industry Groups and M&A to provide strategic content to clients.

Global Capital Markets (GCM) brings together all financing activities (i.e. Real Assets, LSF, Loan Book), Capital Markets activities (DCM/ECM and Strategic Hedging) and syndication (LMFS) to offer one-stop-shop financing solutions to our clients.

Transaction Banking APAC offers a full range of award-winning Transaction Banking solutions, including Cash Management, Trade and Supply Chain Finance., as well as Liquidity and Investment Solutions APAC.

Through this role, the Senior Business Officer will gain exposure to CCG and GCM across APAC and will gain a strong understanding of governance implementation, risk and controls framework as well as financial performance monitoring. The Senior Business Manager will closely interact with CCG and GCM APAC Management, CCG and GCM Heads of Teams and actively coordinate with internal partners including other business lines, Territory Management, Finance, ITO, HR, Brands & Communications, Compliance, Conduct and Controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to Business Management and Conduct & Controls on the following matters for both CCG and GCM across APAC:
  • Working in collaboration with EMEA and AMER, to lead and / or contribute to the BAU implementation of different streams under the GB incremental Designated Market Activities (iDMA) framework including but not limited to the DMA staff scoping, periodic review of conduct handbook and KFOR, implementation and monitoring of trainings, formalization of governance for Individual Conduct & Control Evaluation (ICCE) and act as regional SPOC to participate and contribute to GB DMA Operational Committee.
  • Actively contribute to CCG & GCM voice & e-communication governance and implementation, including but not limited to e-communication surveillance (FOCS) extension, voice & e-communication record keeping program (channels recording, ADAGES record keeping rule book enhancement etc.), maintaining list of authorized/unauthorized channels, defining exceptional approval processes, delivering related trainings etc
  • Lead or contribute to the implementation of CCG and GCM Governance, in particular preparation and / or coordination of committees led by CCG and GCM such as Management Committee, Mandate Committees, and committees to which CCG and GCM is a contributor. Depending on the committees, support on material preparation, committee planning on a timely basis with relevant committee members invited, and/or preparation of high quality minutes on a timely basis and circulate them to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead or contribute to the update of existing procedures and development of new procedures and policies for CCG and GCM as and when relevant. Ensure the implementation of CIB Procedure framework for procedures owned by CCG and GCM teams.
  • Lead on IG/Audit missions and following up to ensure timely closure of audit recommendations.
  • Lead transversal projects and training roll out for CCG & GCM such as conduct awareness campaigns, new regulations implementation, refresher training on Compliance and Risk topics etc
  • Contribute to key strategic initiatives and projects for CCG and GCM (including ad-hoc assignments, partnerships / bridges with other metiers)
  • Act as primary point of contact in Business Management team on complex ad hoc requests raised to Business Management team, in order to identify the challenges and stakeholders needed to solve them and work to address them
  • Contribute or support on the financial performance monitoring and analysis of CCG and GCM including revenues, direct and indirect costs, headcounts, cost of risk and RWA. Prepare periodic and ad-hoc analysis and presentations for CCG Management and CMG Management
  • Participate in the budget process (Managed Revenues, Client Revenues, Headcount, Costs, RWA & Exposure) as and when relevant


Technical and Behavioral Competencies required

  • Knowledge of BNPP APAC CIB set-up
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel including data mining abilities, usage of pivot tables etc.

  • Experience and Specific Qualifications Required
  • 6 to 9 years of professional experience in corporate banking environment
  • Prior experience related to controls and audit is a plus
  • Prior experience in Corporate Banking or Investment Banking is a plus
  • Prior experience in Business Management is a plus
