Our Mission is to provide strategic support and best-in-class service to global digital economy and emerging technology companies in order to spearhead their growth at each stage of their life cycle. We help our customers leverage off a coordinated DBS Ecosystem which enables us to execute transactions across equity and debt solutions, as well as day-to-day banking services, that go beyond catering to the digital economy company but extends to its network of promoters and partners. Our Focus Markets include Singapore, Indonesia, India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Responsibilities
  • Transaction origination through network of tech investors and start-ups, and conduct sector research, industry analyses, and target company screening.
  • Leading the process of identifying and assessing opportunities in DEG companies across DBS' Focus Markets. Prepare and present materials used in client pitches and investor meetings, covering topics such as fund raising, debt financing and general corporate finance.
  • Transaction execution by undertaking due diligence, building detailed financial models and termsheets, deal structuring, and writing of pre-screening decks and credit memorandums
  • Support negotiations and prepare key transaction documents including confidentiality agreements, termsheets, and full transaction documents
  • Develop good relationships with tech investors (e.g. VCs, sovereign wealth funds, etc) and start-ups.
  • Support the team on internal presentations to senior management
  • Coordinate and work with internal and external stakeholders on transactions and other internal requirements
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Other tasks and duties as required by the team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related fields
  • At least 8 - 12 years working experience with an investment bank, corporate VCs, technology start-ups, credit funds/institutions, corporate finance, M&A, Equity/Debt Investing fund and/or accounting firm, with exposure to investing in India, China and/or SEA
  • Good understanding of corporate and investment banking suite of products
  • High level of interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, technical and financial modelling skills (including proficiency in excel and powerpoint)
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, within diverse teams, and deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
