Responsibilities

Management of day-to-day Operations:
  • Manage relationships with PB's, Brokers, Fund Administrators & other service providers.
  • Management & oversight of back & middle office teams performing

o Daily trade confirmation, settlements, cash, and position reconciliations.

o Daily P&L calculation, Risk & Collateral management.

o Review and verify weekly/monthly NAV calculations prepared by the administrator.

o Compile Fund Performance updates, portfolio, and KPI reports required by management, current and prospective investors.
  • Monitor and ensure the KYC & AML checks on investors are performed accurately in a timely manner. Work closely with the Compliance team to review and approve any exceptions as required.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management and external parties to ensure compliance in all operational areas.
  • Oversee year-end audit with auditors and administrators.


Implementation of Strategic initiatives:
  • Work closely with Compliance department to review & implement all regulatory, licensing and compliance requirements.
  • Ascertain appropriateness and functionality of technology and systems.
  • ontingency planning for time sensitive or high-risk activities and processes.
  • Ensure that appropriate checks and balances are in place to ensure that all credit, market, operational, regulatory/compliance and business risks are managed and measured.
  • Budget and Financial Management for the Department, ensuring financial soundness and expense optimization.


Oversight of new fund development, design and launch processes:
  • Work closely with firm's senior management to understand new fund's launch requirements & timelines.
  • Co-ordinate with onshore & offshore legal counsel on fund structuring & set up. Provide inputs and finalize Offering Memorandum, Subscription & Redemption forms, and other ancillary documents.
  • Evaluation & selection of Prime Brokers, Custodians, Bankers, Fund Administrators & other service providers.
  • Completion of required account opening & onboarding formalities.
  • Design & implement internal operational flow & controls.


Prior Work Experience
  • 10-12 years' experience in banking and/ or Fund Management Operations experience with at least 7 years' experience in managing team.


Qualifications
  • Possesses solid knowledge of various Operations areas and workflows such as Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of Banking regulations and laws as well as MAS guidelines.
  • Ability to multi-task and drive project management for the division.


Domain Skills
  • Good understanding of Reconciliations (Cash + Position).
  • Have historically active interaction with industry participants such as counterparties, clearers, custodians, fund administrators, vendors etc.
  • Familiarity with capital markets technology such as Portfolio Management, Order Management, Reconciliation systems.
  • It would be a plus if the candidate understands multi asset classes including Private Equity / Venture Debt.


Soft Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - candidate will need to be able to interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skills (Include soft skills both required and desired such as Team player, People Manager etc.).
