About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Growth Strategy Consultant in Consumer Lending to support our Distributed Retail team in Home Lending. The Senior Business Growth Strategy Consultant will provide insights based upon data-driven analysis that drive the Home Lending’s diverse client strategies, initiatives, and programs. In this role, you will:
  • Work autonomously with data from disparate systems of record, and both public and private databases, to solve for complex and often ambiguous business problems.
  • Lead or participate in planning and execution of Business Growth Strategy activities and projects that directly support or assist in implementation and optimization of efforts for growth opportunities in an assigned market - examples of this include developing reporting packages for leaders at various levels to drive business focus; develop and present data visuals to executive leadership; and lead portfolio discussions.
  • Develop strategies to enhance sales in a designated market and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in Business Growth Strategy operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop specific, customized reports, ad hoc analyses and/or data visualizations.
  • Work with senior consultants or directly with partners, responsible for identifying and defining business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex analyses and recommendations.
  • Ensure data integrity and security. This role requires working with sensitive data in a highly regulated and controlled environment. Ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies.
  • Apply knowledge of business, customers, and/or products/services/portfolios to synthesize data to 'form a story' and align information to contrast/compare to industry perspective. Create presentations and deliver directly to internal customers.
  • Create and/or facilitate the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, and/or advanced data visualization.
  • Support Home Lending (HL) analytic initiatives and overall transformation efforts.
  • Perform research within Business Growth Strategy functional area, identifying and selecting best channels and product combinations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of coverage in marketplace and to meet the unique needs of customers.
  • Collaborate and consult with Business Growth Strategy managers, colleagues, stakeholders, bankers, brokers, and both business and community leaders, including internal or external customers to grow market share and meet customer needs.
  • Establish relationships with external organizations that are aligned with the business growth strategy in an assigned market


Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Home Lending products and services
  • Familiarity with Community Reinvestment Act and Fair Lending Regulations
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint, SharePoint online)
  • Experience with data and analysis, coupled with creative problem solving and ability to identify trends and insights
  • Experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce), and data sources (Dunn & Bradstreet, Equilar, etc).
  • Thoughtful communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work with technical partners and articulate data needs.
  • Experience with ensuring data integrity and security. This role requires working with sensitive data in a highly regulated and controlled environment. Ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
  • Bilingual speaking and reading proficiency in Spanish/English

Pay Range

$87,700.00 - $155,900.00 Annual
