Seeking a skilled dispute resolution attorney to handle complex legal disputes and negotiate favorable settlements for international and Japanese clients
Roles/Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, or mediation proceedings and prepare legal documents related to dispute resolution.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients regarding dispute resolution strategies and potential outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable settlements and resolve conflicts.
- Analyze and evaluate evidence, witness testimony, and legal precedents to build a strong case for clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff to manage caseloads, track billable hours, and ensure timely and effective resolution of disputes.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and incorporate them into legal strategies and advice.
- Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm's dispute resolution practice.
- 2-6 years PQE
- Any qualification welcome
- Work experience in Japan
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively represent clients and negotiate settlements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate evidence, identify legal issues, and develop effective legal strategies.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to dispute resolution, along with the ability to stay current with changes and updates.
