SUMMARY
We are looking for a dynamic leader to head up our brand, content and events teams. In this role, you will proactively build and protect our State Street brand globally - turning business insight into corporate marketing campaigns that help State Street achieve its growth ambitions. You will lead the thought leadership function which engages with State Street's vast internal sources of expertise and brings cohesion and focus to this effort via an integrated content strategy. This function also engages in joint research with academic and industry partners to differentiate State Street and further establishing our reputation in the market. You will also lead the events team, responsible for enhancing our clients' perception of State Street through elevated, branded experiences and surrounding brand campaigns.
This role will report to the EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, and lead a team of highly skilled marketing professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a high performing team, setting a clear vision and strategy for the function, and working with marketing leadership to implement it
  • Work with the internal and external team to evolve, deploy and govern State Street's global brand including positioning, value proposition, brand architecture and naming strategies and visual identity
  • Proactively deploy brand campaigns and integrate brand strategy into annual marketing strategies and plans to drive stakeholder awareness, engagement, acquisition and retention
  • Focus on enhancing clients' experience with State Street through a premium global client events program
  • Drive the development and implementation of thought-leadership and content strategies to elevate our brand and engage our audiences in our differentiated message. Collaborate and lead content strategy for senior executives, business subject matter experts, sales teams and marketing leads
  • Responsible for measuring and tracking against KPIs/ OKRs

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 15+ years in strategic marketing and communications with B to B experience in a publicly traded company and regulated industry highly desirable
  • Institutional financial services experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to navigate complex matrix environments
  • Experience developing and managing a new brand strategy for a large, global company
  • Experience using analytical research and insights to develop and drive strategies
  • Familiar with marketing in both digital and physical media
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in a fast paced, challenging environment
  • Strong track record of "connecting the dots" to inform a larger strategy while maintain an execution oriented mindset
  • Strong skills needed to influence and gain stakeholder buy-in. Proven ability to influence at the executive level
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Experienced in running a global function and demonstrating unique marketing differences around the globe and cultural fluency
  • Strong leader and builder of diverse and collaborative teams

Salary Range:
$225,000 - $337,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
