What our Senior Business Analysts (Capital Markets) do:

FNZ Product Management is a dedicated & focused division within the FNZ Capital Markets function, which provides analysis and consulting services to new and existing customers using the Syn~Ops platform. This includes being responsible for Syn~ feature sets, configuration and Syn~ implementations, plus supporting sales team in winning & sizing new projects.

It also involves carrying out a variety of consulting assignments for existing customers and potential customers in a variety of contexts, including proposition definition, Scope definition, Business transformation, customer training and knowledge transfer, and the definition of bespoke requirements where required for customer Syn~ solutions.

The Business Analyst role is a key role within this team, and will provide leadership and expertise in the following areas:
  • Presenting & explaining existing FNZ capability;
  • Capturing & documenting customer business outcomes to create requirements and solution designs;
  • Syn~ integration and reporting design;
  • Systems migration support and consultancy services;
  • Engagement with Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI) providers (eg CDS, DTC) regarding integration and compliance;
  • Customer training programmes and knowledge transfer;
  • Syn~ configuration implementation;
  • Analyst & Developer handovers and support;
  • Functional Reviews & BRS walkthroughs;
  • Defect verification and triage.


This role demands individuals who:
  • Are consistently solution & execution focused;
  • Capable of dealing with complex problems & environments;
  • Have strong technology, analytical and data interpretation skills;
  • Take ownership for an outcome on behalf of a customer;
  • Comfortable with high levels of customer, stakeholder interaction & management.


Who we are looking for:
  • Experience in a consulting, business analysis or architecture environment.
  • Equities, Fixed Income and/or Exchange-Traded Options clearing and settlement processes and workflows
  • Experience in broking and custody markets in North America.
  • An understanding of the regulatory environment in the US and Canadian markets.
  • 10+ years of experience in a delivery/consulting environment in the financial services/custody market.
  • 1st class degree or equivalent experience
  • Be able to evidence establishing an environment of continuous improvement and capability development.
  • Confident, and able to take initiative given client- and delivery-focused environment.
  • Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.
  • Superior analytical thinking.
  • Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills.
  • Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
